Blue Sky Solar Co is looking for an incentives and permitting specialist to join our team. Successful candidates will have extremely high reading comprehension and communication skills. Reading and understanding complex incentives programs, as well as managing compliance and communicating changes to team members will be a primary job function. Candidates should also have high attention to detail to ensure accuracy of submitted applications. On-the-job training will be provided.

 

This is a full-time salary position. Pay starts at $55k and increases based on experience. This is a key role within the organization that has great promotion and earning potential as the business scales. 

 

Responsibilities of the role include the below.

• Maintaining incentives knowledge base and compliance in various districts and industries, including but not limited to the below:

  • Federal (ITC)

  • State (IL SRECS/ABP, Focus on Wisconsin)

  • Low income

  • Agricultural

  • Non-profits

  • Utility policy

• Preparing and submitting:

  • Interconnection applications.

  • Grant applications.

  • Building and zoning permits for new builds

  • Requests for permission to operate.

• Preparing proposals in Energy Toolbase using the below information to create accurate ROIs for our customers:

  • System specs from design plan

  • Budget sheet

  • Grants and incentives

  • Utility policy and demand rates

• Creating contracts and sending to customers

• Making placards for finished projects.

• Submitting for RMA labor reimbursements on eligible service calls.
